MORKOD delivers life-saving medicines to healthcare facilities in Kyiv region

MORKOD International NGO has delivered a new donation of life-saving medicines to the Kyiv Regional Department of Health, strengthening public healthcare facilities amid ongoing challenges caused by the war in Ukraine.
This delivery marks the second joint humanitarian donation implemented by MORKOD, Health Partners International of Canada (HPICanada), and MMI, continuing coordinated support to the healthcare system of the Kyiv region.
The shipment, with a total weight of nearly 900 kg and a value of over €170,000, includes 5,290 units of essential medicines and medical supplies. The donation will support 4 medical facilities across the Kyiv region, providing treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.
The donated medicines cover a wide range of critical healthcare needs, including antibiotics, cardiovascular treatments, pain management, respiratory and allergy medicines, pediatric formulations, hospital injectables, and essential medical consumables.
As the war continues, Ukraine’s healthcare system remains under immense pressure. More than 9 million people are still in need of humanitarian assistance, while shortages of medicines and medical resources persist across the country. In this context, timely and targeted medical donations are vital for saving lives and ensuring continuity of care.
MORKOD coordinated the entire in-country process, including humanitarian import procedures, logistics, and safe delivery of the medicines to the designated beneficiary. Distribution will be carried out in close cooperation with the Kyiv Regional Department of Health to ensure that assistance reaches patients most in need.
The organization continues to call on other international entities to join efforts in providing medical aid to Ukraine.
Every medicine can save a life.
Every delivery brings hope.
